After the harvested Lodgepole Pine logs have dried sufficiently, the furniture manufacturing process can begin.  Each log is hand-peeled with a drawknife, which removes the outer bark, while leaving the innter bark (cambium) in tact.  The resulting log has a beautiful contrast with rich texture.
