98Rock and Market Street Saloon partner for Battle of the Bands

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 5, 2012 - North Charleston, SC – March 5, 2012 – Charleston’s Rock station 98Rock and Market Street Saloon are partnering for 98 ROCKFEST Battle of the Bands, a competition that will allow the grand prize winner the opportunity to be the opening act at 98Rockfest.

The first night of the 98ROCKFEST Battle of the Bands competition will take place Tuesday, March 13th at The Market Street Saloon, located at 7690 Northwoods Blvd. in North Charleston.

The event showcases a number of bands in competitive 15-minute performance segments on the main stage. Bands will compete in front of a large audience and a panel of judges. Each band will be judged based on the best performance, originality, musicianship, star power and which band receives the loudest crowd response.
           
To enter the Battle of the Bands, email entries to battleofthebandsentry@gmail.com. All entries must contain contact information including contact name, band name, email, phone number and a demo recording. All participants must be 18 and able to provide adequate proof of age. All bands looking to participate need to submit an entry by Thursday, March 8th, 5 pm.  The bands that are selected to participate will be announced on Market Street Saloon’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/MarketStreetNorth?sk=app_2011435... on Sunday, March 11 and on 98Rock on Monday, March 12.
