Call for Scripts for New Community Theater Series on Sanibel

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 1, 2012 - BIG ARTS invites local talent to submit plays for 2012-2013 Community Theater play reading series. All submissions will be reviewed by the Community Theater selection committee, deadline is Monday, April 2. BIG ARTS Community Players is a new program which will feature local playwrights, actors, and directors, performing at BIG ARTS Herb Strauss Theater, 2200 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.

Play submission criteria:

Plays can be any length (10-20 minutes, one act, or full length).

Small to medium size casts are preferred. Rehearsals for large casts are difficult to schedule during season.

Submission instructions:  

All plays are considered anonymously. Submissions must include two attachments:

Attachment One: Cover sheet with name of play and author contact information.

Attachment Two: Full script with no author identification.

The script should include a list of characters and a synopsis of the play.
