Feb. 29, 2012 - PRLog -- From the State of Indiana to Marathon Petroleum to EHS Today magazine, the past year brought numerous awards and recognition to Gribbins Insulation’s extensive safety program and outstanding safety record.  Gribbins’s core values of integrity, safety, quality, productivity, and innovation form the foundation for all the company’s decisions, and these awards recognize the company’s commitment to those values.  As emphasized by Jim Gribbins, President and Founder, “There is absolutely no task that is so important that we might consider sacrificing safety, to even the slightest degree, in an effort to perform the task.”

The Gribbins safety program includes new hire orientation, monthly random quizzes, behavior-based safety reviews, and monthly audits, as well as an extensive incentive program that rewards employees for participating in the safety process and reporting incidents.  The weekly Toolbox Talks are published on the Gribbins website, Facebook page, and Twitter, and Gribbins employees may go online to review incentive point totals and redeem their points from our online catalog.  To learn more about the Gribbins safety program, please visit:  www.gribbins.com/safety/

National Safety Council - CEOs Who Get It
On January 31, 2012, the National Safety Council (NSC) selected Mr. Gribbins as one of the 2012 CEOs Who Get It, along with the CEOs of Dow Chemical and Georgia-Pacific.  The 2012 roster of nine individuals represents national and international organizations of all sizes from a wide variety of industries. The NSC chose these leaders based on their understanding of the value of safety, and their commitment to work with employees at all levels to ensure safety remains everyone’s focus and responsibility. The NSC determined that four common elements exist among all of the organizations recognized: strong executive leadership and active employee engagement, implementation of safety management systems, continuous reduction of risk, and constant measurement of safety performance.  Profiles of the CEOs Who Get It are featured in the February 2012 issue of Safety+Health magazine, as well as at the NSC website.  Read more: http://www.nsc.org/safetyhealth/Pages/212CEOsWhoGetItJimG...
