Feb. 29, 2012 - PRLog -- Raleigh, NC: Raleigh-based Women’s Power Networking continues their successful monthly Power Lunch Series with Nancy Welsh, founder and CEO of Builders of Hope, a non-profit she founded in 2007. Ms. Welsh is recognized as an innovator in affordable housing and green building. She will speak on “Finding Your Passion and Making a Difference.” The luncheon will be held Friday, March 9, 2012 from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse, Brier Creek Commons, 8551 Brier Creek Pkwy in Raleigh.

The former advertising executive for Coca-Cola and Leo Burnett walked away from her corporate life to pursue what was to become her passion. She recognized the importance of recycling tear-down homes into safe, healthy affordable while saving millions of pounds of construction debris from already overburdened landfills in the process. “Builders of Hope (http://www.buildersofhope.org) is rebuilding our country using existing housing inventory to create beautiful communities of rehabbed, green affordable housing from what would otherwise be tear downs,” said Nancy.

She has shared her insights with national and regional outlets including The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, PBS, “CBS Evening News” and The News & Observer.

Jean Hedges, Co-Founder of Women’s Power Networking, author of “The Dare System” and Senior Loan Officer at PrimeLending stated, “Our monthly lunch sessions are designed to be fun and informal educational events.  Attendees can enjoy a buffet lunch in a positive environment while hearing and interacting with expert speakers on topics important to them personally and professionally,” said Hedges. “We’re excited to have such an experienced voice share with us.”

Marilyn Shannon, of ReEnchant Planet Earth/Power of Dialogue, WPN Co-Founder and National Director went on to say “our members are busy women, looking for ideas on how to achieve more each day and be involved in our communities. WPN Power Lunches are open to the general public, WPN members, guests and friends – men included.”
