Feb. 29, 2012 - PRLog -- North Yorkshire-based Vital Network Solutions has launched a new version of its business continuity and disaster recovery package which is aimed at the SME market.
The Vital Data Vault safeguards a client’s business by ensuring they have access to industry-critical applications in the event of unplanned downtime.
The advanced Vital Data Vault v2 means that should a business be hit by an IT system outage such as equipment failure or even a severe disaster such as a fire, flood or theft, full operational access to key IT systems and applications can be reinstated in a matter of minutes rather than hours or days experienced with traditional backup methodologies.
The Data Vault is a unique suite of hardware and software technologies put together by Vital’s IT experts to specifically address the needs of SMEs, and is backed by cloud recovery leader Doyenz.
By taking a regular snapshot image of a client’s server, which is securely stored both onsite and offsite, they benefit from a thorough backup, business continuity and disaster recovery solution, including a complete standby cloud IT environment that is ready to go in as little as 10 minutes.
Lee Evans, Vital Network Solutions managing director, said: “Research has shown that the majority of small and medium-sized businesses are often ill prepared to recover quickly from a disaster or even a fairly routine equipment failure.
“Unplanned downtime can result in loss of revenue, damage to a business’ reputation, and studies show that cases of severe data loss can seriously threaten the very existence of a business.
“SMEs are increasingly recognising that simply having a backup in the traditional sense is just not good enough in the modern business world, and are looking for true business continuity that allows them to recover their operations in a predictable and rapid manner even in the face of the worst of disasters.”
He added: “Utilising Doyenz’ cloud recovery environment to power the latest version of our Vital Data Vault solution means we can now offer an even more comprehensive business continuity facility that includes an offsite recovery environment at an affordable level for our SME clients.”
