TNT Trophy gets a head start at the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club

Feb. 29, 2012 - PRLog -- United Arab Emirates, February 29, 2012 – In the first qualifying round of the TNT Trophy played on Friday 24th February 2012, Ishwar Jodha carded an impressive 41 points at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club. Paul Hopkins became the first runner up beating his nearest challenger Mike Estafanous by 3 points.

TNT Express UAE, one of the world's leading express distribution companies, has recently launched “The TNT Trophy” golf series for 2012. A series of eight events will be played on six different golf courses in the UAE with the grand final at Yas Links on October 5th 2012.
Each qualifying round will be an 18-hole individual event, played in stableford format to three-quarter handicap. Each player must have an approved EGF handicap, which will be audited by the hosting golf club.

After its launch at the Dubai Creek, the TNT Trophy series will cover two events at the Jumeirah Golf Estates on March 10th and September 7th, one event at Al Badia Golf Club on April 14th, one event at the Arabian Ranches Golf Club on September 21st, another event at The Montgomerie Dubai on September 28th and the grand final will be held at the Yas Links on October 5th, 2012.

Players can register for any series event, apart from the final, whether a member or guest by applying directly to the relevant club.

“The twelve qualifiers from each club will fight it out in the final for the chance of a lifetime to play with one of the world’s top golfers in a prestigious Pro-am that money can't buy and take the honours for their club,” added Woodcock.
