KAET TO AIR VEIN HEALTH DOCUMENTARY
American College of Phlebology Supported Special to Air March 13, 2012


San Leandro, CA – February 27, 2011 – In a partnership with the American College of Phlebology, KAET, the Phoenix PBS affiliate will air the documentary “Vein Health: Discoveries, New Technologies and Breakthroughs” March 13, 2012 at 7pm MST as part of their spring pledge drive.
“Vein disorders affect nearly 80 million people in this country,” said Executive Producer, Richard Taylor.  “We created this show to deal with many of the questions and misperceptions that surround this important topic.”
Hosted by Dr. Helane Fronek, a leading specialist in the field of phlebology (the study of vein disease), “Vein Health: Discoveries, New Technologies and Breakthroughs” walks the audience through the basics of how the venous system works, what happens when veins break down and the various treatment options.   Dr. Fronek also moderates a panel of distinguished vein care experts from across the country, consisting of Drs. Melvin Rosenblatt, Stephanie Dentoni, Lowell Kabnick, Nick Morrison and Steve Zimmet, who discuss vein health and take questions from a live studio audience.
The show will air on KAET channel 8 in Phoenix March 13, 2012 at 7pm MST, and will stream via the internet at: http://www.healthyveins.org.
