WellCare Launches CommUnity Commitment and Presents First CommUnity Heroes Award

The launch of The CommUnity Commitment featured the presentation of WellCare’s first CommUnity Heroes Award to John Roberson Fleming, Jr., an active CommUnity Commitment partner and president of the Louisville Commitment Initiative.
 
Feb. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- This month, WellCare Health Plans, Inc. launched The CommUnity Commitment initiative, an innovative approach to identifying and addressing social services needs as well as eliminating barriers that prevent people from accessing health care. Through this effort, WellCare is building partnerships and connecting health plan members with community organizations that offer assistance in meeting basic needs, including assistance with food, housing, transportation, utilities, respite care and more. The launch was celebrated at WellCare’s Louisville, Kentucky office and featured the presentation of WellCare’s first CommUnity Heroes Award. The award was presented to John Roberson Fleming, Jr., an active CommUnity Commitment partner and president of the Louisville Commitment Initiative, an organization focused on creating a systematic method for moving underprivileged youth and young families towards self-sufficiency through improved access to career path training, employment and prevention activities.
