Feb. 29, 2012 - PRLog -- A long-term trend in private equity is for limited partners to seek to co-invest directly in deals alongside their general partners. This trend has made its way to the US middle-market, and according to TJ Maloney, President of Lincolnshire Management, Terrence Mullen, a Partner at Arsenal Capital Partners, and John Coogan, a Partner with Duane Morris, LP co-investment capital is very welcome.

Mullen explains how his firm now deploys 65 cents in LP co-investment per dollar invested by Arsenal’s fund. Topics discussed include the processes and infrastructure that must be in place for LPs to respond to investment opportunities, the communication requirements of the GP, bringing the right opportunities to the right investors, and how to sell potential portfolio company managers on the benefits of accepting LP capital. The program also includes an expert Q&A session with Gary Levy of J.H. Cohn, the series sponsor.

This is the third in a four-program series called "Crunch Time for the Middle Market." The first segment is "Deal Flow Dynamics,” and the second segment is “Discriminating Debt.”
