Who is the Consistent Leader Needed to Change Washington? Bob Kerrey or Don Stenberg?

Feb. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- Nebraska U.S. Senate candidate Don Stenberg, issued the following statement regarding Bob Kerrey’s reported change of heart about running for the Nebraska senate seat:

“There are news accounts that New Yorker Bob Kerrey has once again changed his mind and will now run for the U.S. Senate. The question Nebraska voters must answer is – of the top candidates from either party – who is the consistent leader that will help bring real change to Washington,” Stenberg asked?

“At this very serious time in our history, we need a senator who is committed to the job, not one who has to be talked into it like Bob Kerrey, or who's looking for personal gain or fueling political ambition, like Jon Bruning," Stenberg said.

“New York already has two liberal U.S. Senators, Bob Kerrey would be their third. Kerrey would no doubt cast votes in support of Senator Harry Reid and the other liberal Democrats who have imposed ObamaCare, trillion dollar deficits, and job killing federal regulations on our nation,” he said.

“I will offer a new direction for our nation.  That new direction will include the repeal of ObamaCare, substantial reductions in federal spending and regulation so we can create jobs, development of our domestic energy resources, and the securing of our borders.”

“Nebraskans want a Senator who will go to Washington and fight for our values, someone who will stand up to political insiders from both parties,” Stenberg said.
