“Unfortunately, in difficult times, people are often forced to make a choice between filling prescriptions and putting food on the table,” said Kay Ball President/CEO of United Way of St. Joseph County. “Now, these discount cards are cutting costs, allowing people to take care of their health needs and still provide for their families.”
In 2011, the United Way/FamilyWize partnership saved residents of St. Joseph County $492,524 by cutting the cost of medicines by an average of 31 percent. Visit www.uwsjc.org to see a real-time counter of total local (St. Joseph County) and national savings. The discount prescription cards are FREE. Call 2-1-1 to have a card mailed to you or visit www.uwsjc.org/
