Occupy the Airwaves. World Wide Peace Treaty Signed by most nations on Earth!

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 25, 2012 - Way back in 1980 when Gregory GOrDon was in Law School  he had to choose an area of law to major in.

"At first I was looking into Environmental Law but, as I already had a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Environmental Public Policy Analysis with a minor in economics, I thought that I'd find the next big thing." says GOrDon.  "At Boalt Hall there was a section in the Law Library that dealt with Space Law.  After checking it out I realized that the principles of the Space Law treaty would serve as a great basis for a world wide peace treaty if only everyone on Earth agreed to abide by it's principles.

Here then are the basic principles of the Space Law Treaties:

The international legal principles in these five treaties provide for non-appropriation of outer space by any one country, arms control, the freedom of exploration, liability for damage caused by space objects, the safety and rescue of spacecraft and astronauts, the prevention of harmful interference with space activities and the environment, the notification and registration of space activities, scientific investigation and the exploitation of natural resources in outer space and the settlement of disputes.

Each of the treaties lays great stress on the notion that the domain of outer space, the activities carried out therein and whatever benefits might accrue therefrom should be devoted to enhancing the well-being of all countries and humankind, and each includes elements elaborating the common idea of promoting international cooperation in outer space activities.

The five sets of legal principles adopted by the United Nations General Assembly provide for the application of international law and promotion of international cooperation and understanding in space activities, the dissemination and exchange of information through transnational direct television broadcasting via satellites and remote satellite observations of Earth and general standards regulating the safe use of nuclear power sources necessary for the exploration and use of outer space.

"Back in 1980 when I found out about the treaties there was no way to get the message out to the public now I think it is time to use the power of the people and the Occupy the Airwaves movement to get the word out."  Concludes GOrDon
