Tuffy Auto Service Center to Raise Funds for Family of Fallen Hero

Feb. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- On Tuesday, February 28, family owned and operated Tuffy Auto Service Center in Jacksonville will be raising funds for the family of local fallen hero and former Clay County Sheriff narcotics detective, David White.  Detective White, a nine year veteran, was killed in the raid of a confirmed meth lab off of Alligator Blvd.  Detective White, 35, was married with two children and was a US Army Veteran.

“The people that protect us everyday don’t get enough credit for what they do,” states Bob Beeler, Owner of Tuffy Auto Service Center.  “This is an opportunity to make a difference in our community and to recognize those that serve and protect us.  Being a parent myself, I was touched when I found out about this story.  As a community, we need to rally together and support this young widow and children.”  

Headlining the event on Tuesday, February 28, Tuffy will be donating $10 for every customer requesting our $29.95 oil change service to the family of David White.  In addition to the oil change service, 10% off all repairs up to $500 will be donated back to the family.  Food and beverages will be available throughout the day.
