Parties of up to 30 guests may have a ceremony in the hotel but for larger groups the hotel must be booked on an exclusive use basis. This ensures total privacy and personal service for the whole wedding party and their guests. Superior service is an essential part of the Whatley Manor experience and couples can arrange to have a personal tour of the hotel to select which rooms best suits their planned celebrations.
For a small ceremony with up to 10 guests, one of the most romantic venues is Suite 2 decorated in luxurious purple and cream with leaded windows, visible beams, vestibule entrance and ecclesiastic décor. However, for larger gatherings the hotel is licensed to hold civil ceremonies and civil partnerships in other areas including the Drawing Room (120 guests), the Loggia Garden (60 guests), the Gazebo (4 guests) with additional guests seated on the lawn, the Reception Hall (60 guests), and the Sitting Room (30 guests) or even the Cinema (40 guests).
A range of Wedding packages are available depending on the number of guests. For 50-150 guests it costs £196 per person. This includes House champagne for pre-reception drinks with a selection of six different canapés, a 3-course gourmet wedding breakfast menu devised by Michelin two star chef, Martin Burge, plus wine with the meal and a midnight buffet with refreshments. For the toasts there is a glass of NV Rosé champagne per guest. The package also includes floral arrangements on all tables.
To book Whatley Manor in its entirety costs £13,000 per day Monday to Thursday, £16,000 per day Friday to Saturday and £14,500 on Sundays. This rate includes all 23 guest rooms, early morning tea, breakfast, full use of Spa Aquarias and access to the hotel’s public areas. ‘Le Mazot’, the Swiss style brasserie is also included. A limited number of Aquarias spa members will have access to the spa only. Prices are per night and inclusive of vat and 10% discretionary service charge. A minimum of two nights stay is required at the weekend.
