Montpelier, VT 7-year old’s Death after the Flu Shot Raises More Questions about Parental Rights

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 23, 2012 - S199 and H527 were introduced this year.  They are tricky, since Federal law (National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986) gave shield to pharmaceutical companies from liability due to injury from vaccines.  That same law states that patients must be given Vaccine Information Statements (find one here:  http://www.vaxchoicevt.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/MMR...) before consenting to the administration of a childhood vaccination. Today, Vermont parents are supposed to read through the provided information and ask a lot of questions before they decide to vaccinate their children.  If they decide not to, it is up to them.
