Jared Washington Donates Signature Bike

Feb. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- Jared Washington’s generous donation will be auctioned off on Ebay at an undetermined date to benefit GrassROOTS. The event featured celebrity performances from DJ Diamond Kuts, DJ Rich Medina, George “Spanky” McCurdy, Money Making Jam Boys, Questlove and Black Thought. Guests danced the night away from its start at 8 PM until the event barely ended at 1am.

Jared Washington is an experienced BMX athlete with a professional career beginning in 2003.  As the only American rider on Federal Bikes’ UK based pro team, he also rides for Almond Footwear and Animal Bikes. He won third place at Red Bull’s Trick or Treat competition as well as invited to Interbike in Vegas and the Asian X Games in Korea. He features in numerous sponsored edits and magazines.

Most recently, Jared is featured in an edit titled “Federal BMX – Jared Washington & Dominic Biro edit.”  Federal Bikes released it earlier this month with already 26,300 views and 477 likes on Vimeo.  Transworld BMX, The Come Up, Dig Magazine and ESPN Action Sports reposted and praised the video. ESPN Action Sports and Source Magazine interviewed Jared Washington over the video.

Proceeds from the concert benefit C.H.I.C.K.S. (Creating Healthy Informed Confident Knowledgeable Selves), a GrassROOTS after school program for girls at Harding Middle School located in the Frankford area of Philadelphia.
