Chesterton opens a second office in GibraltarBuilding on the success of their Estate Agency in Ocean Village, Chesterton has teamed up with John McKillop Smith to extend its base of operation to Property Management and Building Surveying.
By: Mike Nicholls, Chesterton Gibraltar Chesterton Property Management, is owned and managed by John McKillop Smith FRICS, a Chartered Building Surveyor, who returned to Gibraltar two years ago after spending over thirty years in the UK managing large property portfolios. “It is a very exciting time to be opening a Chesterton Property Management and Chartered Building Surveying office” said John McKillop Smith. “Within eight months of launching, we now manage Ordnance Wharf, 55 Line Wall Road, International House and the Cornwall’s Centre. And there will be more. The mix of old property stock together with the array of new developments built in the last 10 years means there is much work to be done in properly and professionally maintaining, or in some cases restoring, Gibraltar properties.” Mike Nicholls, MD of Chesterton Estate Agents was clearly pleased with the new office. “We are now the only property company in Gibraltar with two retail offices. Our expansion says a lot about the service we deliver in a relatively tough property market”. # # # Chesterton has 72 offices across 12 countries and 5 continents. It employs 800 people worldwide. In Gibraltar it is the only real estate agency with offices in the UK, with two retail units in Gibraltar, owned and operated by a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Building Surveyor respectively.
