-- Orangetheory Fitness, a one-of-a-kind, group personal training workout that has gained an ardent following in Florida, Arizona and Colorado will open its newest studio in East Northport, New York on March 9, 2012; its first in the metro region. In the two years since the Orangetheory Fitness concept debuted in South Florida, the franchise has grown to support 25 thriving studios in four states.
Starting Sunday, February 26 and through the Orangetheory Fitness grand opening on March 9, 2012, the public is invited to stop by and experience a complementary workout. Special pre-sale and founder’s rate memberships will also be available prior to the grand opening.
In conjuction with its grand opening, Orangetheory Fitness will also launch its first 6 Week Weight Loss Challenge. At the end of the challenge, the contestant with the highest percentage of weight loss will win $2,500 in cash and prizes. Orangetheory Fitness typically hosts a 6 Week Challenge each time a new studio opens, and other shorter contest throughout the year. Past winners have lost as much as 48 pounds in six weeks. s 60-minute group personal training workout is broken into intervals of cardiovascular and strength training. Each participant’
s individual heart-rate is monitored throughout the session, which is designed to keep heart rates in a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy. Led by experienced, accredited personal trainers, participants use a variety of equipment including treadmills, rowing machines, TRX Suspension Training® and free weights, burning an average of 900 calories per session.
