Join the Trivia Fun at 'Gray Matters' Fund-Raising Event Friday, March 30, 2012!

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 22, 2012 - St. Louis, Missouri…The Center for Head Injury Services is proud to host its 7th Annual “Gray Matters” Trivia Night, a popular public party to raise funds for the St. Louis-based non-profit service, support and counseling agency that serves victims of brain injuries, autism and developmental disabilities and their families in Missouri.

The Center’s “Gray Matters” Trivia Night promises cash prizes, raffle baskets, free snacks, drinks and refreshments and good times for all who participate. “Gray Matters” will be hosted on Friday, March 30, 2012, at the St. Ann Community Center, at One Community Center Drive in St. Ann, Missouri, 63074, in St. Louis County.

Donna Gunning, M.Ed., CRC, LPC, Executive Director, The Center for Head Injury Services, says, “Our seventh annual ‘Gray Matters’ Trivia Night promises entertainment, fellowship and socializing with a lot of activity for trivia team members who face off to win prizes while supporting a very worthwhile cause. Our annual ‘Gray Matters’ Trivia Nights have become a popular tradition in St. Louis to help support people of all types of brain injuries, autism and developmental disabilities.”

The action begins when doors open at 6:30 pm., with brain-teasing trivia games and contests beginning at 7:30 p.m. Free beer, soda and snacks will be served to all participants.

Karen Lanter, Center Director of Development & Marketing, says, “The evening will feature Attendance Prizes, ‘50/50 Drawings,’ Raffle Baskets, a Silent Auction with premiums and gifts, Table Decoration Contests and Cash Prizes, among many other activities. We expect a lot of fun and excitement.”

“Team Tables” seating ten people are available for $250, with free beer, soda and snacks. “Premier Tables” seating ten people are $350, with salad, appetizers, pizza and desserts in addition to free beer, soda and snacks. Sponsorship options are available, ranging from $100 to $3,000, and all donations are tax-deductible in accordance with IRS regulations.

The Center for Head Injury Services, founded in 1986 and located at 11786 Westline Industrial Drive, in St. Louis, Missouri 63146, offers many needed services for people in greater St. Louis and Missouri suffering with brain injuries, autism and developmental disabilities.. Its programs include physical, occupational and speech therapies; return to work services; and school-to-work transition services. For severe cases, The Center provides therapies and adult day care services. The Center also provides vocational and employment services, and counseling is available for individuals and families who face disability adjustment problems.

In fiscal year 2011, the Center served more than 900 clients and their families. “We are very proud of our heritage of community service, and we are extremely thankful for all who support our work and enable us to advance our mission,” says Executive Director Donna Gunning.
