The Jackson Junge Gallery in the Wicker Park area is often host to great stuff to do and see in Chicago. Co-owned by two local Chicago artists, Laura Lee Junge and Chris Jackson, the gallery has its finger on the pulse of Chicago and North America’s contemporary art scene. Until the last week of this month, the Jackson Junge is exhibiting featured artwork from Bronwyn Elkuss and a collaborative exhibition entitled Revolution 2012. Elkuss’s display entitled “Hanging by a Thread” showcases her stitched-fiber technique, which is her medium of choice for commenting on contemporary issues and themes. In Revolution 2012, several contributors speculate on the future of bourgeoisie society in the new year with pieces demonstrative of their individual styles.

Visiting the Jackson Junge gallery is a great choice among things to do in Chicago. Open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and Sundays noon to 5 p.m., these two exhibits will be open to the public from now until February 26th.

Winter poses many challenges, but entertainment should not be one among them. Concierge Preferred invites you to skate on the world’s highest ice rink at the John Hancock Observatory. Literally glide across Chicago’s skyline at the skating facility, available to the public from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily until April 8th, 2012. There is no shortage of unique stuff to do in Chicago!

For more stuff to do in Chicago, check with the entertainment professionals online early and often at Concierege Preferred. Their correspondents are always on the lookout for events, restaurants, concerts, and other things to optimize your experience in Chicagoland.
