Also for sale on the 9th and 10th is Inspire’s Huntly Art project where the artists use a variety of paints and tools which range from rollers, scrapers, brushes, hands and even kitchen implements to produce individual and inspiring paintings . The group is proving to be a great ambassador for people with learning disabilities whilst also becoming increasingly integrated into their local community. Over the last few months the art group have ventured into bead making which has proved to inspire very different talents from colour recognition to artisan’s designs.
“We are very excited about the craft fair at Inspire’s head office in Aberdeen, allowing the people we support to show and sell the products they make, said Jane Summersgill, Group Leader for Inspire. “We at Inspire hope that the people who use our services learn new and useful skills, are given the opportunity to integrate fully into their communities and that they are assisted to reach their full potential. Our art and crafts groups allow the people we support to express their individual talents whilst creating a successful and commercially viable set of creative products in the process.”
Jane continues, “Our wide range of diverse and colourful products for sale make the ideal Mother’s Day gift, guaranteed to make her day and add an extra special bit of glamour, sparkle, colour or aroma to her life.”
