“Adena originated the name for the tour. She remarked that we’re as different as cherries and horses and I jumped on the phrase,” recounted Lynne. “I thought it was a great way to describe us because we’re such a strange pair.”
The tour follows up on their dual EP release party late last year. It was a huge success, earning them both new fans all over the Seattle area and promoting their respective debuts.
“Jessica has a real rockin’ Nashville sound and her EP Spiritual Cowgirl has such strong, broad appeal,” Atkins commented. “In some ways Seattle is an odd setting for her, but it’s very welcoming and anyway talent like hers is undeniable.”
“And The Slowest Curve, Adena’s EP has done so well since the release,” Lynne added. “It’s generated tons of positive reviews and attention, probably because in addition to being beautiful it’s unique.”
Atkins and Lynne have announced dates so far in Carnation, Yakima, and Auburn Wash. and Long Beach and Ventura, Calif. More dates and locations will soon be announced soon.
“I’m really excited to be going down the coast. We’re going to share our music with tons of new people and on top of that we’re playing in my hometown, Ventura. It’s happy-making to think of reconnecting with all the people I know and love there and of course, introducing them to Jessica,” Atkins said.
