Conejo Valley YMCA's February 25 Rummage Sale to Support Strong Kids Campaign

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 22, 2012 - THOUSAND OAKS, CALIF.--The Conejo Valley YMCA will hold a rummage sale Saturday, February 25 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Y (4031 N. Moorpark Rd., Thousand Oaks). All proceeds will benefit the Y's Strong Kids annual fundraising campaign.

   Hosting the sale are members of the Conejo YMCA's Indian Guides/Princesses.  "Families participating in our Indian Guides program are bringing furniture, TVs, clothing, electronics and toys to the rummage sale," says Jennifer Silveria, the Conejo Y's community program director. "We should have lots of items for sale."

   Funds raised through the Y's Strong Kids campaign enables individuals, families, seniors and children to be a part of YMCA programs and receive membership benefits even if experiencing financial hardship.

   "The Y never turns anyone away from taking part in our programs because of an inability to pay," says Silveria. "By shopping at the rummage sale, you're helping families in the community."
