Open Call to Audition March 18 for BIG ARTS Community Theater on Sanibel

Feb. 21, 2012 - PRLog -- BIG ARTS invites local talent to audition 2 p.m. Sunday, March 18 for upcoming Community Theater productions. Auditions will be held at BIG ARTS Center, 900 Dunlop Road, Sanibel.

This is an open call to recruit actors for two full-length plays to be performed at BIG ARTS Herb Strauss Theater. The first play is "Marriage is Murder" by Nick Hall, with evening performances May 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19 and a matinee Sunday, May 13. Performances of Neil Simon’s "Star-Spangled Girl" will be on the evenings of July 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, and 14.

"Marriage is Murder" is a murder mystery comedy calling for one man and one woman ages 25 to 60. Star-Spangled Girl is a classic Simon comedy calling for two men and one woman in the 20 to 40 age range. Auditions will be cold readings from the scripts and actors are encouraged to bring their availability dates to the auditions.  

Both plays will be performed at BIG ARTS Herb Strauss Theater, located at 2244 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel, Florida.
 
Anyone interested in volunteering for this new community theater program are welcome to attend auditions or pick up a volunteer form at BIG ARTS Center, 900 Dunlop Road, Sanibel.
