Feb. 21, 2012 - PRLog -- SAVANNAH, Ga., February 7, 2012 - Smart, competent, dynamic, phenomenal and
unforgettable…these are characteristics that every woman should have, and news anchor Dawn Baker knows what it takes to achieve these qualities and become successful.

Baker’s premiere self-help book for teen and young adult females, Dawn’s Daughter: Everything A Woman Needs To Know, made its debut on November 8, 2011. Some of the tools that the book includes are: becoming strong and independent; setting and achieving realistic goals; and understanding the value of a good education.

The Junior League of Savannah is teaming up with Baker on this life-changing mission of
helping young women become successful. The organization is hosting Baker’s official public book launch party on Sunday, February 26, 2012 - 3P.M. to 6P.M. at the Historic Armstrong House (Bouhan Williams & Levy LLP), located at 447 Bull Street (at the north end of Forsyth Park).

Baker has been a news anchor with WTOC-TV in Savannah, GA for the past 22 years. In her spare time, she supports her community by hosting multiple charitable events and serving as a board member for various non-profit organizations. Her new mission is trying to empower women. She says, “Often young women spend too much time being jealous of each other, gossiping, sacrificing who they are to fit in with others, instead of concentrating on developing the skills they need to become successful, strong, independent women. Through my book, I want to help those young women channel that energy and learn how to become the very best that they can be.”

Books are also available online at www.DawnsDaughter.com, www.dawnbakeronline.com ,
or www.amazon.com. Books are also available in Savannah at The Book Lady, Diaspora
Marketplace, E. Shaver Bookseller, and Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace. The eBook is available for downloads on Kindle and at www.smashwords.com.

20% of the proceeds from the book go toward The Dawning of a Miracle Scholarship for
female high school seniors with chronic/life-threatening illnesses. You can learn more http://www.dawnbakeronline.com/scholarship.
