iPad-based differentiation tool for luxury hotels showcased during IHIF 2012

DigiValet will present different examples of how to use iPad-based in-room technology to improve differentiation in the luxury hotel market segment.

Feb. 21, 2012 - PRLog -- DigiValet, a fast-growing hospitality company, is sponsoring the 2012 annual event of the International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF) in Berlin in March. The event is a key gathering for executives from the global hotel investment and development industry. Differentiation for luxury hotels will be an important topic

“The luxury hotel market is growing in spite of the global economic downturn, but it becomes increasingly competitive” says Rahul Salgia, DigiValet's CEO. “Digivalet is a key differentiation tool for the hotels eager to deliver the best experience to their increasingly tech-savvy customers”.

In its simplest version, DigiValet enables hotel guests to control all hotel services through an iPad dedicated to their room and personalised to them. For example, guests can control their room lights, temperature, curtains and also order food and beverages in one stroke.

Cedric Naintre, DigiValet's Regional Director Europe adds, "Each DigiValet implementation is customised to the hotel. The system must integrate the hotel branding in screens, interface colours but also in features and content”.

Hotel owners can increase revenues per room providing in-room shopping from nearby shops, spas, business and tourism services. Local content, hotel maps, available services are entirely customised by DigiValet for each hotel. As a CRM input platform interconnected with both PMS and POS, DigiValet is also a great personalisation tool, adapting to the users and enabling hotels to surprise their returning guests with special services.

Rahul Salgia says “There is no doubt that the time has come for this sort of services to be implemented in luxury hotels. The feedback from the guests has been overwhelmingly positive over the two years history of this system deployment in luxury hotels.”

For example, guests can control their room lights, temperature, curtains, watch Video-on-Demand, listen their referred music, order food and beverages, and even checkout from the hotel in one stroke

DigiValet offers top quality entertainment and connects with cable TV, full HD Video on Demand and music. The iPad interface transforms the once tiresome experience of accessing content into a pleasant one, as the guest can search for movies by actors, read the synopsis and view the trailer before launching the video on its TV.

The company, headquartered in Singapore, has a development centre in India and Regional sales office in Europe, the United States, Asia and the Middle East.
