LRAART Showcased at Agora Gallery Collective Exhibition

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 21, 2012 - New York, New York – Accomplished architect and business leader of Ware Malcomb, Lawrence R. Armstrong continues to expand his artistic talents through LRAart, a contemporary art collection.  We are excited to announce his participation in Agora Gallery’s Degrees of Abstraction exhibit, where four of his pieces from the art series "Layered Vision" were on display. Agora Gallery (http://www.agora-gallery.com/) is located at 530 West 25th Street in New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood.

Agora Gallery is a contemporary fine art gallery dedicated to the promotion of national and international artists. The Degrees of Abstraction exhibit was a collective exhibition featuring thirteen artists from around the world. The exhibit was open to the public from January 17 through February 7, 2012 with an Opening Reception held on January 19, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM.

About the Exhibition
Degrees of Abstraction showcased the work of artists who combine their range of skills and experiences to represent the essence of the world as they see it. The pieces chosen for display explored the structures and forms of objects in nature and in the manmade world through each artist’s point of view.


About the Art
Lawrence’s “Layered Vision” artwork on display included “Super G” and “Tempest,” acrylic pieces on layered canvas and wood, and “Eco Immersion” and “Midnight Cocktail,” acrylic pieces on aluminum. “Super G” and “Tempest” were sold during the exhibition to an abstract art collector.

About the Artist
Lawrence Armstrong is well known for his strategic, visionary approach to design and business. His focus on creativity and innovation influence all of his artistic endeavors.  He has been inspired by modern architects and artists. When he is not running Ware Malcomb, Lawrence is working in his art studio or traveling with sketchbooks. His international travels have influenced his art as well.  He has traveled extensively throughout the world including North America, Latin America, Europe, Japan and the Middle East.
