Coconino Community College offers Intro to Filipino Martial Arts Course

Feb. 20, 2012 - PRLog -- Sifu David Semanas is offering a course through Coconino Community College in the Filipino Martial Art of Arnis.

Arnis is a fun, highly rythmic martial art with strong real world applications.  It is often used in the training of special military and police forces.

This course emphasizes the basics, including:
stick handling, stick safety, fundamental blocks, fundamental strikes, pattern training, basic control of opponent attack weapon and basic defense against opponent attack weapon.

David is well known for his friendly and encouraging teaching style.

The course will run from March 20 to April 24, from 3-4 pm.

It will be held at Water Mountain Martial Society, 2500 4th st.  It is a short distance from the 4th street campus.

Enrollment is limited to no more than 12 people, so enroll early.
