“This will be one of the premier events of the year!” says Ryan McNeill, chair of the event. “A Clear Night In White Comedy Gala is a fun and exciting night out, dressed in white, and for a great cause”. The goal of this event is to raise enough funds and community support to expand the program in Lee County and establish it in Collier County.
“Malnutrition is a very serious problem in our community. This program steps in where the federal program leaves off, on the weekend. The schools who have our program have seen an increase in attendance, fewer behavioral issues, fewer visits to the nurses office, and better test scores. These test scores directly correlate to the schools’ funding and the quality of their education. $80 will feed one child for an entire school year and the impact it has is really amazing!” states Scott Fischer, chairman of the board.
Tickets for this event are $250 each, $2,000 for a reserved table for eight, or $2,500 for a reserved table for 10 and can be purchased online at http://www.blessingsinleeco.org. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Please contact Cia Sherman via email at email@example.com or via phone at 239-690-4648.
Blessings in a Backpack is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization that provides weekend meals for children in grades K-5 in Title 1 schools. The organization is completely volunteer driven and 100% of all donor dollars go directly to feeding the children they serve in our community.
