NH-ISAC Teams with iNetwork in Support of National Healthcare Cyberprotection

The National Health Information Sharing & Analysis Center, announced a teaming agreement with iNetwork, to provide the West Coast with security facilities and technologies to support critical infrastructure protection for the healthcare sector.

Feb. 20, 2012 - PRLog -- February 17, 2012 – The National Health Information Sharing & Analysis Center (NH-ISAC), announced today completion of a teaming agreement with iNetwork, Inc. in San Diego, California to provide the nation’s West Coast region with security operations facilities, expertise and and technologies in support of national healthcare and public health critical infrastructure protection.  

As the nation’s trusted forum and definitive resource for Healthcare and Public Health security intelligence; NH-ISAC will leverage iNetwork, Inc.’s systems engineering, security, and network architecture expertise, and secure compartmented information facility (SCIF) as an integral component of NH-ISAC’s nationwide infrastructure.

In response to Homeland Security Presidential Directives, critical infrastructure specific “private sector-led” Information Sharing & Analysis Centers (ISACs) have been established to provide critical infrastructure owner/operators with physical and cybersecurity intelligence, threat and vulnerability situational awareness, two-way information sharing, countermeasure solutions and incident response, best practice and education.

Headquartered at the Global Institute for Cybersecurity + Research (GICSR), located in Exploration Park/Kennedy Space Center, Florida and with supporting ISAC operations at iNetwork, NH-ISAC is uniquely positioned to leverage nationwide advanced facilities and public/private expertise to support national healthcare and public health critical infrastructure protection to achieve Prevention, Protection, Mitigation, Response & Recovery.

NH-ISAC’s cybersecurity analysts at iNetwork will collaborate and coordinate with NH-ISAC’s cybersecurity team at the GICSR Global Situational Awareness Center in Cape Canaveral, to support trusted and timely expert “sector-specific” analysis and early notifications of cyber threats, vulnerabilities and attacks, support two-way information sharing, countermeasure solutions, and incident response, thereby increasing sector and cross-sector remediation knowledge.
