FUNDRAISING FASHION SHOW EVENT - Proceeds benefiting the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation

Feb. 20, 2012 - PRLog -- Fashion Week is not over yet fashionistas!  New York and New Jersey designers will rock the runway on March 23, 2012 at Warwick New York Hotel for a fundraising fashion show event for the benefit of the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation www.emmanuelcancer.org. The following designers will be participating in this wonderful event: Darius B. Gibbs, Thomas Lavone,  Elena Vasilevsky, Alicat Avril Lemieux, Dary Robles Prodigalidad of HR Fashion, young and talented designer Jazmin Brown, Sumbul Rizvi, Epiphany Amor and Citra Gala of Citrolina Designs will showcase their latest collections.  16 year old singer/songwriter Paris Ray will perform. Hair and make up will be produced and directed by Terry Maher of Terry's Mane Street Salon of North Haledon, NJ.

Whitney Houston’s hit “Greatest Love of All” tells us “believe the children are our future; teach them well and let them lead the way.  Show them all the beauty they possess inside.  Give them a sense of pride to make it easier.  Let the children’s laughter remind us how we used to be.”

Children are our future.  Their boundless imagination keeps our culture thriving as our hopes and dreams are kept alive through the generations.  When a child is diagnosed with cancer, hope is something to hold on to.  Hope that the future will be bright.  Together, the fashion industry and the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation will be hosting a fundraising event to give our children hope.  

Emmanuel Cancer Foundation (ECF), founded in 1983, serves New Jersey’s children with cancer and their families by providing emotional, material and emergency financial support.  Major hospitals all over New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and even Delaware refer their pediatric oncology patients to ECF so that they may begin to address the overwhelming consequences associated with cancer.

Each year ECF helps children who have been diagnosed with pediatric cancer such as leukemia, brain tumor, neuroblastoma, rhabdomyosarcoma, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s Disease, Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, retinoblastoma, Erwing’s Sarcoma, and Wilm’s tumor to name the top 10 types of cancers.

Top models from New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia and other parts of the country will be striking a pose on the runway at the Warwick New York Hotel , 65 West 54th Street, New York, NY on March 23, 2012 at 6:00PM.
