Tierney's are delighted to announce that they had a great privilege supporting and providing IT equipment to Chinese Vice-President, Mr. Xi Jinping and his delegation during their stay in Dromoland Castle, Hotel and Spa in Co. Clare, Ireland. Chinese delegation of high level government officials that came with Vice-President included Chinese foreign minister, Yang Jiechi; international trade representative and vice minister of the Ministry of Commerce, Gao Hucheng; vice foreign minister, Cui Tiankai; deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission, Zhang Xiaogiang; and deputy director of the Policy Research Office of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, Shi Zhihong. This was a three day visit by Chinese Vice-President and his delegates to Ireland. The visit included economic talk with Irish government officials, introducing a better connection between the two countries. Vice-President of China had a meeting with Shannon Development CEO, Dr. Vincent Cunnane about County Clare region and opportunities that offers to Chinese investment companies. He stayed in Dromoland Castle and visited unavoidable Cliffs of Moher, and Siximilebridge farm in Co. Clare. For the last part of the travel around Ireland, Vice-President of China met with Taoiseach and President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins in Dublin, where he visited Croke Park and performance of Riverdance in Belvedere College. This visit of Chinese Vice-President was great news for Ireland and especially County Clare, because of the obvious interest in the region by Chinese investing companies. This might be very successful partnership between the two countries. Introducing Chinese companies would boost up Clare and Munster region again and produce new jobs for Irish people. It was our pleasure being there to provide IT service and present Ireland in the best possible light in front of the Chinese Vice-President and his delegation. # # # Tierney’s Office Automation was founded in 1993 by IT professionals whose highly developed, service-oriented backgrounds enabled them to establish Ireland's first truly customer service focused IT solutions provider.
