Attorney Joerg F. Jaeger, along with another defense attorney handed an order to the judge that he had previously ruled he was bound to follow. Subsequently, the judge upheld the trial court’s ruling where the State’s Attorney’s Office was required to provide attorney Joerg F. Jaeger with copies of software 26 and 27, along with ee-proms from the Intoxilyzer 8000 machine which is used by Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Judge Jewett gave the State Attorney’s Office ten days to comply with his order.
In adherence with a court order issued by Seminole County, Jaeger & Blankner flew to Kentucky with an expert witness to inspect key components of the Intoxilyzer 8000, which is the machine that is currently used by Florida law enforcement.
Since June of 2011, Jaeger & Blankner is one of two law firms throughout the entire state of Florida to visit the manufacturer of the Intoxilyzer 5000 and 8000. The manufacturer CMI is located in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Not many criminal defense attorneys take their DUI cases so far as to visit the manufacturer of a breath testing device such as the Intoxilyzer 8000. However, Jaeger & Blankner is not like other criminal defense firms. All the attorneys at the firm are former prosecutors;
The firm has had major successes over the years in questioning the validity of breath testing machines and getting the results thrown out in Orange, Seminole and Osceola Counties. In fact, the firm’s cases date as far back as the late 1980’s where judges ruled that the results from the Intoxilyzer 5000 and Intoxilyzer 8000 were inadmissible at trial. Jaeger & Blankner is a criminal defense firm located in Orlando, Florida.
