There are currently thousands of job boards, many networking sites, books, articles and millions of career-oriented URLs. A search on Google for “job search” delivers over a half a billion matches. When McIlwain’s husband lost his job a few years ago, she witnessed the emotional difficulties and informational challenges of his job search. She saw him pour through confusing information, trying to make sense of it all. She also lived through his accompanying emotional slump.
