Northeast Products Announces Manufacturing to Be Moved from China Back to the USA

Feb. 16, 2012 - PRLog -- Northeast Products line, including quality backpacks & THERM-A-SEATS™ for hunters & other outdoors enthusiasts will be manufactured in the USA, and are featured on the company's new website, http://www.nepoutdoors.com .

The decision comes at a time when President Obama has recently announced a campaign to bring jobs home. In an article written on January 7th, Bloomberg Business Week reported; "Obama to Promote Insourcing of Jobs" in an effort to put people back to work. Obama announced a business forum that was held January 11th, called Insourcing American Jobs.

Peter Luccisano, President of Northeast Products says, "Obama's statement squares with the reasons for my decision to return manufacturing operations to the USA. Up until 5 years ago, we proudly manufactured ALL of our products in the USA. Since then only 50% here and 50% in China. Like many other US companies, to remain in business, we were forced to produce in China. Although when manufacturing in China profits are greater, I've never been comfortable with supporting Chinese workers over my own fellow Americans. Of all US businesses, the manufacturing sector has suffered the most in recent years. My passion is and always has been, to see American workers busy at home. I enjoy providing a living for our people."
