Packaged Food Companies Gather to Share Tips for Success in International Markets

Feb. 21, 2012 - PRLog -- North Texas companies, from chocolatiers to salsa makers, will gather in Dallas on Tuesday, February 28 to discuss tips and share strategies for selling in international markets.

The program, entitled "Explore Exporting: The World is Waiting:" is being hosted by the International Trade Center SBDC, a joint program of the Dallas County Community College District and the US Small Business Administration, and the Southern U.S. Trade Association. Event organizer, Ms. Virginia Arteaga says, "Looking at foreign markets is a great way to grow your business and bring in additional sales. You'd be surprised that countries such as the U.A.E like Tex-Mex foods from the US."

Companies that make condiments and sauces, specialty food items, vitamins and wellness products are encouraged to attend one of two sessions to be held in Dallas (morning) and Ft. Worth (afternoon).

Participating panelists and sponsors include: Citibank, Transplace International, Export-Import Bank of the US, SBA, FDA, Renfro Foods, Heritage Specialty Foods, American Airlines Cargo, and the US Export Assistance Center.
