Trigild Appointed Receiver of Tampa Area Golf Course

Feb. 15, 2012 - PRLog -- SAN DIEGO (February 15, 2012) …Trigild – a San Diego-based distressed real estate, loan recovery and receivership specialist – has been appointed receiver for Oak Hills Golf Course and Country Club, a championship course 45 miles north of Tampa in Spring Hill, Fla. As court-appointed receiver, Trigild will manage the property, at 10059 Northcliffe Blvd., which includes an 18-hole, 6,935-yard layout designed by Chuck Almony Sr. to challenge high and low handicap golfers.

Built in 1980, the course is open to the public and sits on 210 acres surrounded by pine forest, mature oaks and upscale homes.

“Oak Hills is a well-known course in the area around Tampa and one of 16 courses within a 10-mile drive,” Trigild president Bill Hoffman. “At this point, our role will be to see that it operates efficiently and smoothly and is well maintained for golfers who want to experience its rolling terrain.” No decision has been made on disposition of the course and the assets, he added.

As part of the oversight of day-to-day operations, Trigild will also maintain the 20-tee driving range, putting and chipping greens, the clubhouse with its pro shop and the 4,260-square-foot warehouse for course maintenance equipment and 65 new golf carts.

Oak Hills Golf Club has a teaching professional on staff for private and group golf lessons. The course has a rating of 72.2 and slope rating on Bermuda grass.

With more than 12-million square feet commercial real estate and multifamily properties in its portfolio, Trigild now manages 158 real estate assets. The company serves as receiver for most of these projects and – as maturity defaults loom in the horizon – Hoffman expects that figure to increase.
