Feb. 15, 2012 - PRLog -- "Blunt-Talk: How I LiVe" is Daniel Bauer's newest motivational speaking program that addresses the fight against stigma associated with HIV / AIDS. Bauer debuted his new program on World AIDS Day 2011 at the Staten Island Technical High School, New York City, addressing a majority of the student body speaking on topics such as living with HIV / AIDS, HIV / AIDS prevention, addiction, suicide, stigma and much more. Bauer's "Blunt-Talk approach allowed students to ask questions that were relevant without being embarrassed because he spoke to them as mature responsible adults," says Mrs. Sanguinedo, Assistant Principal of Staten Island Tech High School Admissions.  Bauer is now working with organizations and is now available to bring his Blunt-Talk speaking program to schools, universities and conferences nation-wide. “How are we going to get the message across to this generation and the next about the reality of HIV/AIDS: living with, prevention, awareness and breaking down stigma?” (Bauer says). The answer is simple. All it takes is one person to step up to the plate and tell a story as real as it can get. The time for fluffy nice talk is over. This is the time . . . right now . . . to be bold in our actions and conversation in educating others about HIV/AIDS.

Daniel Bauer is a vibrant, nationally recognized motivational speaker, blogger, activist and entertainer who is inspiring the world through his bold speaking programs and thrilling productions of magic and escape. Daniel Bauer is revered internationally as the successor to the legendary Harry Houdini and was diagnosed with HIV/AIDS back in 2002. This diagnosis became the back bone of a major brand company pulling out of sponsoring his tour “ALIVE” which was slated to become one of the biggest world-wide productions of escape and magic since the Houdini era.

As a 10 year survivor of HIV/AIDS, Daniel Bauer now talks openly about his life, inspiring many around the nation by sharing intimate details of how he came to accept and embrace his HIV/AIDS diagnosis and how he survived and pulled out of the dark days of addiction, suicide attempt and social and corporate bullying. Daniel Bauer has been a keynote speaker (since 2008) at high schools, universities, social action events, charity galas and regional conferences including the Northeast LGBT Conference. Most recently, Bauer debuted his newest talking program, “Blunt-Talk: How I Live” on World AIDS Day, 2011 in New York City.
