Habitat HQ Voted Best Hostel in Victoria and 6th in Australia in annual Hoscar Awards by Hostelworld

Feb. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- Continuing their success as one of Australia’s best backpacker hostels, Habitat HQ was voted best in Victoria, sixth best hostel in Australia and number nine in the Oceania region by the clients of Hostelworld. This is the second year running for Habitat HQ to be recognised as a top 10 destination.

Hostelworld’s 10th Annual Hoscar Awards were announced in Dublin, Ireland last week to a record number of the world’s leading budget travel industry representatives.

An estimated 1 million travellers vote on their backpacker hostel stay based on character, security, location, staff, fun and cleanliness. The Hoscar Awards identify the top ten international backpacker hostels based on these votes.

The Hoscar Awards are the only awards in the travel industry decided exclusively by online guest reviews and ratings. Sought after because of the validity of the voting process, the recognition is a culmination of twelve months of rankings. Product quality, service and experience are required for voters to consistently score excellence in the six specific categories.
