Hand It To Miami’s Favorite Upper Limb Surgeon

Feb. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- MIAMI- FEBRUARY 10, 2012 – Dr. Alejandro Badia, MD, FACS, world renowned Hand & Upper Limb Surgeon hosted the 7th annual Hand Reconstruction Course at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa on February 5-6th to present medical advances and current techniques in the specified areas of arthroscopy, implant and soft tissue arthroplasty of the upper limb.

The two-day conference and course featured presentations and lectures from surgeons from around the world, while participants, which include doctors, therapists and some of the biggest industry names in the field, had the opportunity to get “hands on” training on cadavers by industry specialists at the Miami Anatomical Research Center – (the M.A.R.C) the world’s largest cadaver surgical training center.

Since its inception, The Miami Hand Reconstruction Course has continuously ascended, establishing itself as the premier medical course of its kind.  As people are more active and hand maladies continue to increase, there is a growing demand for techniques that focus solely on joint reconstruction in the hand and upper extremity. This specialized course offers a supply for such demand, making Miami a unique medical destination for upper limb doctors and specialists all over the world.

Throughout his career, Dr. Badia has played a key role in teaching and promoting his field of expertise locally, nationally and at the international level. As such, he runs an active international hand fellowship program from his facility, Badia Hand to Shoulder Center, in Doral.
