In addition to recreating historical Arizona women and their famous hair dos, the open house will include a student hair competition, speakers from the beauty business, tours of the school, free samples, door prizes and refreshments.
“Whether it’s the famous actresses of today, Cleopatra in ancient Egypt or even Greek mythology with Medusa and her head of snakes, hairstyles have historically played an integral part in our lives,” said Jessica Wolman, one of the owners of the school. “For those who are interested in making cosmetology a part of their future, we hope both men and women can visit us during our open house and learn more about what we have to offer.”
In addition to International Academy of Hair Design, the company owns IAHD in Mesa, Tempe and Metro Center, as well as 16 cosmetology schools throughout the U.S. They include: nine schools in Texas and one school in Oklahoma under the name ITS Academy of Beauty College; four locations in New Mexico under the Olympian University moniker, as well as Hair Benders Academy in Florida
