PRLog (Press Release) -
Feb. 14, 2012 - Diane Eenigenburg, owner of La Petite Sweet in Westmont, IL, created a special Red Carpet cake for the Chicago Chapter of The Recording Academy's 54th GRAMMY Awards Telecast Viewing Party, held at Lincoln Hall, Sunday, February 12th. Drawing inspiration from the promotional video's for the Event, the cake was decorated with blown sugar bubbles, spiked sugar crystals, and poured sugar "splashes", firework cake sparklers and topped with GRAMMY award made out of chocolate and sugar pastillage by Diane and her husband. The chocolate and sugar GRAMMY was used for guest photo opportunities, as the cake was being cut and passed to the hundreds at the event.
Diane, owner and master cake decorator at La Petite Sweet has been baking custom cakes for special events for 5 years. Past extreme cakes included a 1/3 size Grand Piano cake for PianoForte's 200th Birthday Party for Franz List, the wrap party cake for the Chicago Jersey Boys, the giant hamburger shaped cake for several of Tom and Eddie's grand openings, and a giant cupcake display of the Exelon Logo for their CEO's retirement party.
Diane is a "Best of The Knot" award recipient for 2010, 2011, and 2012 and takes great pride in her custom cake designs.
