PRLog - Feb. 13, 2012 - CHICAGO -- Chicago, IL, February 13, 2012 — Chicago artist Brian T. O’Rourke, whose paintings have been sold through Macy’s department stores, interior designers, and to private collectors throughout the U.S., has unveiled a new, limited-edition handbag and accessory line featuring his best-selling paintings and prints. O’Rourke’s new line is already making waves with celebrity cast members from shows such as Bravo’s ‘The Real Housewives’ series and now he’s set to make a splash in the fashion accessory world.
A Sample of O'Rourke's Designs
Currently available in 27 of O’Rourke’s best-selling designs, from subdued and elegant to vibrant and wild, the new line is comprised of seven different styles including a clutch, various handbags, wallets and a laptop-carrying work tote for the stylish professional. While the seven styles vary greatly in size and shape, each has luxurious leather accents and soft microfiber-printed designs that are both durable and cleanable. The handbags and accessories are perfect for daily use or for making a statement during a night out on the town. Items in O’Rourke’s line range in price from $95 to $555 and each comes with a numbered certificate signed by the artist himself.
Visitors to O’Rourke’s website, where the line is available for sale, can view a sampling of praises that his designs have received via Twitter from celebrities such as ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ cast members Camille Grammer and Lisa Vanderpump, as well as ‘The Real Housewives of New York’ cast members Kelly Bensimon and Sonja Morgan.
“I’m thrilled at the response that my new line has received,” says O’Rourke. “While I’ve always been proud of my artwork, I’m especially excited about this new venture and the opportunity for people to be able to wear my artwork.”
Other celebrities, as well as the general public, will also have an opportunity to bid on a handbag and wallet set from O’Rourke’s new line during a silent auction at The Notebook author Nicholas Sparks’ Celebrity Family Weekend in New Bern, North Carolina this April. In the meantime, O’Rourke’s line is available for sale on a dedicated page at his website, www.briantorourke.com/
