GA Music Awards Nomination Period Closing

Feb. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- Raleigh, NC - Nominations for the GA Music Awards have been steadily increasing during the nomination period, and the Awards Show Network hopes they continue to come in until the closing date of March 1. Musicians, bands, and their fans are all eligible to nominate their favorites for an award in their musical category. Nominations are followed by a review from industry professionals, and the announcement of the selected nominees on March 9 at the Gold Room in Atlanta.

“The nominations are the most important part of the show. With nominations coming from their fans, musicians and bands, artist get their work in front of industry professionals for an evaluation of how they compare to their peers,” states Omar McCallop, “So many awards shows are based on what the industry thinks is good without fan input, and other awards shows are based on what the fans think, with little to no industry input. The Awards Show Network wants to recognize all kinds of music, from rock to R&B to bluegrass and country. Nominations are being taken at www.georgiamusicawards.com. After the nominees are announced, voting will begin to determine the award winners in each category. Winners are then chosen by popular vote and industry panel review.
