Well, Pete Thornton-Smith has been offering his talk "How I make Social Media work for me" for some time now and not surprisingly attendees have started to ask how they can take advantage of his 8 point strategy and implement it for themselves.
This has meant Pete now offering a Foundation session where for half a day he walks you through the basics of setting up LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook ( or whatever combination suits you ) so that they are optimised. Added to that he covers where to get all the content that others just seem to attract without any effort plus how to automate it all so you are not tied to your machine. Along the way he also shows you how to make it all FUN.
What is even better is that these sessions tend to be conducted virtually over the web in three one hour slots so there is no need to travel and lose time away from the office.
From a recent talk at the Bradford School of Management, Pete had attendees asking for advice on how to raise their profile as a sole trader in relation to their specific business. In addition, that talk got videoed so there could be some interesting snippets coming through shortly - you have been warned!
But seriously, check out what two recent students said having completed the sessions:
"Pete challenged and changed my thinking around using LinkedIn as a marketing tool. He really got me over my reluctance. His enthusiasm is contagious and his subject knowledge second-to-none. He delivered his seminars with energy and passion. Pete provided prompt, clear post-seminar notes which I can refer back to and which I continue to use. The seminars were cleverly delivered on line, which saved me travelling time and reduced my costs significantly. Highly recommended!”
