PRLog - Feb. 13, 2012 - MAYFAIR, U.K. -- SORTED magazine provides a focal point for positive male role models that the politicians claim are 'in such short supply' in a 'broken Britain' beset by rioters, violence and family breakdowns.
It seems obvious sometimes what unites a group, a country or a cause.
A strongly held belief is vital. A belief in oneself, values and cultural history are what will fuel and strengthen any successful group dynamic. If these beliefs are valid and worthwhile then the credibility and integrity of the group remains united and resolved.
Doubt these ingredients - and just as surely - fragmentation, weakness and extinction will follow.
Many would seem to agree that much of Britain's lost respect is based upon a loss of individual self worth and any pride in our national identity.
Men seem to have bulked at embracing our country's heritage and cultural identity. Family values, leadership and parenting skills, by extension, all seem to be left wanting. This is a generational thing and we need to make a start.
"So it is time to get Sorted!," says Duncan Williams of London based Independent Magazines Limited. "We are absolutely delighted to have teamed up with founding editor Steve Legg to help market this magazine. SORTED offers huge potential within the male readership marketplace - which as we know, remains a key demographic for advertisers."
Testing this marketplace has shown that Armed Service Personnel have reacted particularly well to the editorial policy of Sorted magazine. Duncan is unsurprised at this, and asserts that; "When you are far away from your home and your family, and you are placing your life on the line, sometimes daily, for your country, it understandable that it is very refreshing to read a media publication that is actually validating you and the culture you are risking your life for..."
For this reason editor Steve Legg has generously arranged for gift subscriptions, together with complimentary editions, to be donated direct to British service personnel. Subscriptions can go out straight to Afghanistan, Iraq and now even direct to the thousand plus service personnel stationed in the Falkland Islands. Wives and their families are particularly fond of this method of giving a gift from home to their loved ones.
"This initiative has been very popular with our readers," says Steve. "We think it is a fabulous way to show that you care about the people who are willing to give the most and very often receive so little recognition in return. These men - and of course women too - are real role models. They can help change the future simply by being who they are."
