The ‘BrownBeat Photo Companion to Hampi’ eBook available for free for 5 days

700 years back, Hampi, on the banks of Thunghabhadra River in Karnataka, a southern state of India, was the famous capital of the Hindu Vijayanagara Empire chock-full of architecture and art wonders. Unfortunately it was destroyed by Moghul invaders in 1565. Hampi also finds mention in the epic Ramayana as Kishkinda.

The eBook is a compilation of photographs of the famed ruins of the former Vijayanagara capital, Hampi, as well as images of some of its amazing natural landscapes. Hampi is enclosed by massive natural boulders and craggy hills. The glorious palaces, temples and enormous fortifications are built with such ingenuity that they merge naturally with their surrounds.

The BrownBeat Photo Companion to Hampi features almost 90 stunning photographs of Hampi, taken by Richard Brown, the author of the travel guide, the BrownBeat Guide to Hampi. All of the photos are accompanied by informative text and recollections of his journey to this special place.
