Minute Menu Systems, LLC Sparks CACFP Week Interest with Contest on ChildCareInfo.com

Feb. 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Richardson, TX – ChildCareInfo.com, a part of the Minute Menu community, creates a collaborative workspace to celebrate the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) in the form of a contest.  
The contest “CACFP Week ideas from Sponsors” provides an opportunity for CACFP Sponsors to share events, press releases, resources and more in observation of CACFP Week, which is March 19 through March 23, 2012.  The contest “CACFP Week ideas from Sponsors” is open for entry submittal right now.
“Contests are a fun and interactive way to get an online community involved,” stated Samantha Daleiden Marshall, manager of ChildCareInfo.com.  “The contest provides a different type of forum for CACFP participants and advocates to engage and share ideas with each other.  After sponsors submit their entries they can share with each other, their providers and then providers can share with their parents.  It is one more step to uphold ChildCareInfo.com’s mission of ‘bridging the communication gap in the child care profession.’”
The contest timeline is: 1) Entries Accepted: Now through February 26, 2012; 2) Voting period is February 27 – March 9, 2012; and 3) Winners are announced on March 13, 2012, the first day of CACFP week.

The CACFP is a program that encourages and enforces quality child care.  The CACFP partially reimburses child care centers, family child care providers and other care settings for providing nutritional meals to the children in their care.
