This is the same Jeremy Lin the Knicks were close to releasing a few weeks ago. Now he has the most points in a game this season for a Knick. He has also set a Knick record for most points in a players first three starts. Lin has had a remarkable week. Saving the best for last, scoring a career-high 38 points and outdueling Kobe Bryant as the New York Knicks beat the Los Angeles Lakers 92-85 Friday night.
Lin has led the Knicks to their fourth straight win, tying their longest winning streak of the season. His two free throws with 52 seconds left pretty much sealed the Knicks win over the Lakers. As the Knick crowd chanted "MVP! MVP!"
So the question arises is Jeremy Lin the real deal or is he a flash in the pan? http://weeklypoll.net/
After watching him play I’d have to say he’s the real deal. Should we expect a slew of 20 point 10 assist games? That’s a tough call. What he does have is speed and quickness. More importantly he makes good decisions at such a young age. He sees the floor. He gets the ball to the open man. He gets to the free throw line. That’s big. Because even if your shot is off. You can help your team greatly by getting to the line and getting the opposing teams players in foul trouble.
Without a doubt Jeremy Lin is the feel good story of the NBA season. Before Friday nights game, Kobe Bryant was asked if he had heard of Jeremy Lin. Kobe said “not really”. You can believe Kobe knows who Jeremy Lin is now. Kobe and the rest of the sports world.
